Accounts + acceptable use

Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in links, and use an account you are authorized to access. Do not impersonate others, interfere with the website, bypass access restrictions, scrape private account information, or use the services for unlawful activity. The Community Guidelines apply to participation and submissions.

Membership + availability

Community is currently free. Paid membership tiers are not open for enrollment on the membership page. Future offers will state their prices and conditions before purchase. Creating an account does not guarantee admission to an event, publication of a submission, or access to every film. Features and viewing windows may vary.

Events + payments

Review each event’s date, venue, admission requirements, accessibility details, and refund terms before registering or purchasing. Listings may include events run by independent organizers. Their event arrangements and linked checkout terms apply to their offerings. HAC’s review of a listing is not a guarantee of its outcome. Contact the identified organizer about event-specific questions.

Payment and registration issues should be raised with the responsible organizer or checkout provider. See Ticket + support guidance. These terms do not limit rights available under applicable law.

Submitted content + creative rights

Submit only content you own or have permission to provide. Submitting listing information and promotional artwork allows HAC to review it and display approved material for that listing. You keep ownership of your work. Film screening, ongoing streaming, interviews, and additional promotional uses require the relevant permissions or separate agreements; submitting a film does not by itself grant unlimited distribution rights.

Watch films for personal viewing within their permitted access window. Do not download, record, redistribute, or bypass viewing controls without the rights holder’s permission.

Moderation + service issues

HAC may review, decline, remove, or request changes to content and may restrict access in response to misuse, rights concerns, or safety issues. Report a concern with the relevant page or content link so it can be assessed. Website and third-party services may experience interruptions; contact HAC if a technical issue affects a transaction or viewing access.

Privacy + updates

Read the Privacy Notice for information handling. Updated terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Material new purchase conditions will be shown with the relevant offer.
