Information the website receives

Account and profile information can include your email, name, city, bio, website, social links, photo, and preferences. Event and film submissions may include contact details, project information, links, artwork, and files. Business inquiries include the details you choose to provide about your business and project. Contact-form messages include your name, email, selected topic, subject, and message and are saved in HAC’s operations system for review and response.

Transactions can create purchase, registration, contribution, and receipt records. Payment details are entered through Stripe’s checkout. Messages you send to HAC are also part of our correspondence.

How information is used

Information supports sign-in, profiles, submissions, review decisions, event administration, viewing access, payments, receipts, inquiry responses, and website operation. Your selected communication preferences help guide optional updates. Necessary account, transaction, and submission messages may still be sent.

Website analytics + browser storage

The site uses browser local storage and session storage to assign visitor and session identifiers. Its analytics endpoint records page paths, visit activity, and clicks on email links using hashed identifiers. This helps HAC understand website use. Sign-in services may also use browser storage, and event submission drafts are saved locally on your device.

Clear site data in your browser to remove local identifiers and saved drafts; this may sign you out. The site can create new analytics identifiers on a later visit. Clearing browser data does not delete information already submitted to HAC. Embedded video, checkout, and external services may use their own storage under their policies.

Service providers + published content

The website uses providers including Cloudflare for hosting, analytics storage and video; Supabase for account and application data; Stripe for payment processing; and Resend for email delivery where configured. Information may be processed by those providers to deliver the service and by authorized HAC staff handling the relevant work.

Approved event listings, filmmaker details, and other content selected for publication may be visible publicly. Do not include private information in material intended for publication. External websites and services follow their own privacy notices.

Your requests + retention

You can edit available profile fields in your member portal. For access, correction, deletion, or communication-preference requests, email HAC from your account email. We may need to verify the request. Some records may need to be retained for transactions, disputes, security, or legal obligations; backups and provider records may follow separate retention schedules. We do not promise a fixed deletion deadline in this notice.
